Smart Factory Worx works in industrial automation and connected manufacturing, the area generally described as smart factory or Industry 4.0 technology.
Work in this field involves connecting production equipment, capturing operational data from the factory floor, and using it to monitor and improve manufacturing performance. That typically spans industrial control systems, machine connectivity, data collection and the software layer that turns shop floor signals into usable production information.
Companies in this category usually deliver through engagements with manufacturers rather than as shrink wrapped software, because the systems have to be fitted to existing plant, equipment and processes at each site.
